I am interested in crocheting with thread. I am currently making my first Mandala using #10 thread. I would like to continue using thread for blankets and other Mandala patterns. Should I stick with #10 or should I use #8, #5, or #3? I saw that you sell the spool and it appears that it would be cheaper for me to buy the thread this way.

Hi Delene,
Our Valley Cottons are terrific for thread crochet! the numbers on our coned cotton correspond to what you would find on a spool of crochet cotton, so our 10/2 cotton is equal to #10 crochet cotton. Remember that as the number gets smaller, 10, 8, 5…, the thread get thicker!
