This week’s free pattern is a great layer for summer, early fall, and spring. The Spring Leaves Vest is knit in Universal Yarn Cotton Supreme. This machine washable yarn is super soft. The cotton yarn adds drape to the fabric and showcases the leaf pattern nicely.

The sizing on this pattern ranges from 32″ to 56″ to fit a variety of sizes. It would look fantastic in a bright color, or great in something more neutral. For a different spin, you could try Universal Yarn Cotton Supreme Batik!

Summer is in full swing here at WEBS and this week’s free pattern is a great summer top! Windsor is a fitted tee that features a high ribbed welt, a ribbed collar, and four buttons down the front. This is a great standby to have for spring and summer.

It is knit in Rowan Summerspun, a great multi-season blend of wool and cotton. The multicolored yarn works up into a lovely fabric that has lots of interest. Even this simple stockinette stitch top looks like it has a lot of interest thanks to the way this yarn is created.

We hope you’re all enjoying the summer and that you’re having a great time working on your summer projects. What are you working on right now?

Free Pattern Thursday: Horizontal Vertical Kimono in Cascade 220 Superwash

It’s the last day of our Anniversary Sale, and we have one last free pattern that features a sale yarn. The Horizontal Vertical Kimono is knit in Cascade 220 Superwash.

While the name of the Cascade Yarns Horizontal Vertical Kimono may be a little perplexing, the garment is not… Its simply adorable. This stylish tunic-length vest is knit side-to-side (hence the “horizontal” in the name), yet when it is worn the pattern runs vertically. The various stitch patterns add some beautiful texture without detracting from the garment as a whole. This vest can be made both in different bust sizes and in different lengths, allowing for a more custom fit.

I can’t believe May is over! And I really can’t believe the Anniversary Sale is coming to a close. Do you have any projects planned for your Anniversary Sale yarns?

Free Pattern Thursday: Bessie Stole in S. Charles Collezione Luna and Stella

This week we feature another free pattern that uses yarns from our Anniversary Sale. The Bessie Positive/Negative Stole has an ethereal beauty reminiscent of shooting stars and the night sky. The wispy S. Charles Collezione Luna creates a delicate halo, while S. Charles Collezione Stella creates the clearly defined, contrasting lines.

Luna is a light, airy blend of super kid mohair, silk, and lurex. It has a wonderful halo and just a touch of sparkle that makes it perfect for special occasions.

Stella blends silk and lurex for a sophisticated yarn with sparkle that won’t be overbearing. The two yarns pair beautifully in this project.

There’s no better time to grab the yarn for this project than now, when it’s on sale. I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe there’s only one week left until May. It seems like just yesterday we were discussing what yarns were going to go in the Anniversary Sale, and now it’s almost over. That reminds me, I’d better figure out what I want to stock up on!
