This week Kathy talks with Louisa Harding

Louisa calls in from VK Live and chats with Kathy about her early days taking pattern cutting courses at college and bringing her knowledge of sewing and garment making to the art of hand knitting.

She also talks about the long road from seeing new yarns at an industry trade show to designing, photography and bringing them to market. Louisa is lucky enough to work with her photographer husband to bring an easily identifiable look and feel to her brand.

This week Kathy talks with Art and Barbara about the founding of WEBS and their early years in Amherst.

Art and Barbara seen here in the Kellogg Ave. location in 1992 just before moving to the 75 Service Center Rd. location.

Barbara reminisces about buying the first 20 looms, WEBS initial location in the family’s basement,  our second location at 109 Main St., signing for her first loan and more.

Amy became a sweater knitter because she wanted to knit clothes she could wear and with the Custom Fit program she tries to empower other knitters to do the same for themselves. When you knit a sweater that really fits and makes you feel good you end up with Happy Sweater Face!
