Founder and editor of Knitters Review, Clara Parkes, will be at WEBS this Saturday!  I am so excited to have her at the store and so bummed I’m going to miss her visit.  I’ll be in Baltimore at Stitches.  Clara will be teaching a class from 10-4:30.  Titled, The Wonder of Yarn, this workshop will “lead you to a much better understanding of yarn, how’s it’s made, who makes it, how it gets to you, and what it longs to become in your hands”.    I just checked with Customer Service and it looks like there are still one or two spots left, so if you are interested, I would get yourself registered asap! (click on the link above and scroll a bit down the page to find the class registration).

If you can’t make the class, please be sure to join us from 4:30-6:00pm for a book signing and reception with Clara.  This is a great chance to say “hi” to one of the nicest people in our industry.  Clara will be signing her book “The Knitters Book of Yarn” (which I have affectionately renamed the “Great Big Book Of Yarn That Everyone Must Own”. 

Sorry Clara, I just call ’em how I see ’em.  I honestly own two copies of this book.  One that I keep on my bookshelf in my office and one on the bookshelf here at home. 

The reception is free and we’ll have our usual lite knosh!
