Free Pattern Thursday
I know the patterns have recently been skewing towards summer scarves and shawls, but I can’t help myself. I love a little something around my neck or over my shoulders to fight off the inevitable freezing indoor conditions despite the lovely warmth outside!
This week is another shawl. When it showed up as a store sample, I fell in love:
This is Springtime Bandit from Kelbourne Woolens, distributors of the luscious Fibre Company Yarns. The shawl is knit in Terra which is a merino/alpaca/silk blend.
The pattern takes 4 skeins. That puts the project at $64.00 but it also qualifies for the WEBS Discount which brings the price down to $51.20. The shawls was inspired by the popular Springtime in Philadelphia Beret. Here’s a shot of our shop model of the shawl:
Enjoy! I’ll try to cut back on the scarves/shawls! Promise!

Maybe it’s time to start thinking about cowls?? My favorite Christmas gift in addition to the fingerless mitts and wrist warmers. I really think you should think about patterns for beaded knitting. Maybe some beaded wrist warmers and mitts. I haven’t seem many of those, and I think they’re beautiful.
