Free Pattern Thursday

Share Button

Hi Everyone!

Have those of you who are working on gifts finished yours yet? I finished mine with just a few days to spare, which is a welcome change from last year when I was blocking a gift on Christmas Eve, willing it to dry in my chilly house! I’m already plotting my knitting and crochet plans for 2011.

For those of you who haven’t finished yet, and are wondering how you’re going to get three more pairs of socks knit in time, or for those of you who remembered you wanted to make something for someone this morning, this week’s featured pattern is a great option!

“It’s Too Late” Wristwarmers come to us from the folks at Tahki. This super simple pattern is just a ribbed rectangle that you sew up when you’re finished knitting, leaving a thumb hole. And, since there’s worked in bulky yarn on size US10.5 needles, you can churn out a pair in no time!

This pair is worked in one ball of Tango, but if you visit Tahki’s site, you’ll also find instructions for a pair knit in Dove and one in Taos.

Happy Knitting!

I created a double seed stitch hat last night in bulky that’s really fast (about 2 hours) and would go very nicely with these. It’s here: http://www.knittedthoughts.com/2010/12/sewing-seeds-hat.html
