Hi Everyone,

This week’s free pattern is crocheted, and it’s gorgeous! The Iris Crocheted Shawl is our version of a shawl our friend, Iris Schreier, of Artyarns designed, but never wrote the pattern. Sara Delaney took on the task of recreating it and writing up the pattern to share.

It is crocheted in Artyarns Cashmere Glitter 2-Ply, which is a WEBS exclusive. This yarn is exquisite! 100% cashmere with the slightest touch of soft sparkle. Add Artyarns’ spectacular colors and you have a winner. This yarn arrived on a very dreary, very snowy day and for a moment, it made all of that mess outside slip away!

The shawl takes 2 skeins, so it isn’t the most inexpensive project, but with 2 skeins, you do qualify for our discount, and it’s a great way to say hello to spring by treating yourself (or someone you really, really like!).

I really want to make this myself. I am having a hard time deciding on what color though. I’m drawn to 2303 deep purple, but I do love pink, so 2302 is speaking to me too. And, the way the colors play in H17 is really appealing, but a lot of my closet is gray and black, so I really like  2246. What to do?
