Yes, I realize that today isn’t Thursday.  I also realize I haven’t blogged in a week.  Being out sick for three days last week really through a wrench into the schedule.  I’m also on some much needed down time with the family, but I was feeling badly for being out of touch.

So since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and there won’t be a free pattern this week, I am giving you last week’s free pattern now and I’m going to use it to cover both weeks.  I know – it’s cutting a few corners but I figure you’ll forgive me 🙂

So – the free pattern is an adorable hat knit with Valley Yarns Northfield and aptly named the Lavender Ribbed Hat. 

It’s Valley Pattern #292 and requires only 2 balls of Northfield which makes this an incredibly affordable project and/or gift!  One important note – this hat is knit on a smaller-than-usual needle for Northfield.  We normaly suggest a #8 but for this project, we used a #2.  This creates a denser and therefore much warmer fabric.
