Free Pattern Thursday: Simple Shrug from Spud & Chloë
Hi Everyone,
This week, our pattern comes to us from Susan B. Anderson and the Spud & Chloë blog. The Simple Shrug is knit in Spud & Chloë Sweater. Shrugs are a great way to extend your summer wardrobe. I have some tanks and dresses I love that I add a shrug to so I can continue to wear them and not freeze.
Spud & Chloë Sweater is a great machine washable blend of wool and organic cotton. I recently knit a baby blanket in this yarn and it was fantastic to work with and washed nicely in the machine.
The shrug is written for a women’s medium, but includes directions on how to modify it for babies all the way up based on measurements. You can check out Susan’s helpful sketch for the size she knit here on the Spud & Chloë blog.
I really like the ruching, but as stated in the blog post, you could leave it out and customize it for your taste. Lengthen the sleeves, adjust the fit – anything!

Happy Knitting,
Mary
