Knitter’s Pride Nova Knitting Needles

The Knitter’s Pride Dreamz line of colorful wooden knitting needles and crochet hooks has been quite the hit in the past few weeks. But I’d like to show a little love for the line of Knitter’s Pride Nova knitting needles.

Speed
Nova needles are made from hollow brass pipes and plated with high quality nickel. This slick surface is probably what I love most about the needles; I can knit fast! My stitches slide across the needle effortlessly with next to no resistance. Their tips are pointy but not painfully so, with a gradual taper. They work great for most yarns I work with including laceweight yarn for intricate projects. When I work with particularly splitty yarn, I would grab blunter needles though.

Comfort
The Knitter’s Pride Nova needles are also light weight and quickly warm up in my hands, providing comfortable knitting for hours. I love the rhythm of the click, click, click that the metal needles make as I knit along. It’s a soothing sound. Though it’s a little loud for those times where you find you may need to be knitting silently such as at a kids music assembly at school.

Durable & Affordable
You’ll find the durability of metal guarantees minimal wear of your needles and provides maximum life. And a streamlined manufacturing process makes Nova needles highly affordable, the finest and most affordable brass needle on the market.

Choices
One thing I appreciate in a line of knitting needles are choices, and the Nova line has many, many choices. When knitting a hat on circular needles, I want to be able to switch to double pointed needles for the top in same needle line. Needles in the Nova range are available from 2.0mm (US 0) – 15.0mm (US 19), a size for just about any project. Each needle has the size printed right on the metal making it easy to grab the pair that you need without fumbling with your needle gauge.

The Knitter’s Pride Nova line of needles include interchangeable tips, fixed circulars, single pointed, and double pointed all in various lengths and sizes, available individually or in sets. I’m particularly excited for the 5″ double pointed needles which are great for making gloves, and the soon-to-arrive special interchangeable tips which are shorter and when paired with the 16″ cable is perfect for knitting hats. I also love that the interchangeable tips go as small as a US 2.5 (3mm). What can I say…I like knitting with finer yarns.

Check out our Knitter’s Pride Nova video where Cara gives a nice overview of this line of needles and you can hear what the needles sound like and see how flexible the cables are (great for magic loop!)

Try some of the Nova needles today. You’ll love their superior quality, yet affordable prices. Whether you’re a DPN fan or committed to magic loop knitting, or only like knitting with straight needles or love the compactness of circular needles, there’s a Nova needle just right for your next project.

Happy Knitting!
