Ready, Set, Knit #101 – Interview with Franklin Habit

Share Button

This week on Ready, Set, Knit, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing blogger and author Franklin Habit.  Among other things, we discuss his new book (and first, I might add) It Itches:  A Stash of Knitting Cartoons.

I had the chance to meet Franklin back in June at TNNA and he is absolutely charming.  He’s also someone I’ve been wanting to have on the show for awhile, so needless to say, I was just a wee bit excited.  The book is hilarious.

As part of the celebration of the book, Interweave Press is hosting a “Caption Contest“.  Submit a caption for an original Franklin cartoon and if your caption is selected, you will not only win the original cartoon, but Franklin will add your caption to it!

Interweave is also running a second contest as part of their latest Knits Holiday Gifts issue.  Check out all of the information on their “Count the Sheep Contest” and enter to win an autorgraphed copy of It Itches!  Whew – I don’t think those folks at Interweave ever sleep!

You can hear this week’s podcast at www.yarn.com/podcast.html or via iTunes!

Enjoy!

Kathy

P.S.  We got a little carried away with Franklin this week!  Unfortunately we ran out of time before we could have Pixie join us for this week’s KAL.  I promise we’ll give her extra time next week!

I laughed so hard at this show I nearly burst. What a fantastic idea for a calender. Im with Pix, I need one of these under my tree.

The blog is great – looks much nicer than the other one. Very professional!

Hey Amanda – thanks for the nice words about the blog.

The show this week was a little over the top and I’m glad you enjoyed it. We had such a blast doing the interview. When we finished and we realized we hadn’t taken a break we were just at a bit of a loss. Nothing else to do but keep on moving!
