Ready, Set, Knit Episode 191 – Interview with Gwen Bortner
Hi Everyone
We had a great time this week recording Ready, Set, Knit. Steve & I were a bit punchy to say the least. We reviewed some great new closeouts and one new sock yarn.
I also had the chance to talk with the always faboo Gwen Bortner. Teacher, designer, author, Gwen has a new book out titled Entree to Entrelac.
Now, I can’t say I’ve ever been a big fan of entrelac but let me tell you – Gwen’s book is awesome. It’s really made me look at entrelac in a new light. Plus, Gwen among my favorite people in our lovely industry and we had a great conversation. I’ll be doing a full blown book review next week so listen to our chat and then check in next week to see what the book is all about! I think this might be another technique we will need to explore further on the show.
Enjoy!
Kathy

That’s pretty much the way I feel–not a big fan of entrelac (it all kind of looks alike to me), but this book was fabulous.

I have been so put off by entrelac but this book looks like I may really try it. Will listen to the podcast then buy the book when I am up there again, which should be in a week or so.

I quite enjoy the technique but hate having so many ends to weave in.
