This week, Kathy is talking with Michelle Maynard of Project Knitwell. Project Knitwell is a DC Metro-based organization that advocates knitting as a part of wellness. Adhering to the philosophy that knitting is therapeutic to people who are facing difficult situations, Project Knitwell helps teach knitting to the homeless, at-risk youths, and those who may be in the hospital, whether it be the waiting room, or as a patient. Volunteers help to teach and provide quality supplies at no cost to participants. To learn more about how you can get involved, whether it be through marketing, teaching, needle donations, or through a monetary donation, click here!
