Shipping Options

Hi Everyone

Last week we made a minor but important improvement to the website.  Previously we had only offered options for regular shipping.  If you needed and/or wanted your order faster, you either had to make the request in special instructions or call Customer Service.  Not a huge deal but not as seamless as it should be.

Well, now it is seamless:

These options were always available but you had to do some work to make it happen.  Since all of you are the customer, you really shouldn’t have to be any of heavy lifting, so to speak.

Not a huge revolutionary change, but a nice update.  Rates are based on the weight of the package and your zip code.

    I think this is great. Customer Service makes or breaks businesses and yours is one of the best I have experienced. One service that I have never seen on the web would be ball winding for fiber that comes in skeins. I have a swift and ball winder but for large projects I just wish the skeins were available already wound. I certainly would pay for such a service. Just a thought…

    Thanks for your feedback and kind words. I agree – it's all about customer service and we really try to make ours the best it can be.

    We've discussed offering a winding service but here's the problem – if we wind say 6 hanks of Cascade 220 for you and send it along and you decide the color isn't quite what you want and you want to return it, we're in a pickle in terms of resale. In that situation we'd refund the yarn cost to you but what do we do with the winding fee? It's messy but would love to hear your thoughs!
