Guest: Linda Pratt of Westminster Fibers, distributor of Rowan, Nashua Handknits, Gedifra, and Regia. Kathy and Linda chat about the latest spring yarns.

NEW SEGMENT – Trending Now: Kathy and Steve chat about what is being seen in novelty yarns. These yarns seemed to go away for a while, but they’re starting to make a comeback! People are starting to get more and more interested in these yarns. Kathy has also noticed more sparkle and embellishment when taking a look at what celebrities are wearing. Even when shopping, Kathy has noticed simple garments with more embellishment (sparkle, ruffles, rosettes, metallic, etc.). Gedifra Rosas is a new yarn for spring that has done very well.

If you’ve never tried novelty, it’s worth taking a look at. We have a novelty section on our site, so take a look.

Guest: Bill Childs who is heading up the River’s Family Music Meltdown and Book Bash. If you’re going to be in the area, or are local, you’ve got to check out this super fun event on Saturday, March 26th.

Was discouraged that there hadn’t been any shows for last two weeks — I use a subscription in iTunes to automatically download them. So, I checked and am receiving an error that the “network connection could not be made”. I’ve seen this before, so I went into the Apple store and specifically clicked on the two individual episodes to download them “manually”. Just thought you might want to know. They look a bit funky in the store — usual description of content is missing. nMarlene — a devoted listener (and shopper at Stitches East) since the very beginning of your podcast.
