Our very first show aired on November 4, 2006 with guest Lexie Barnes.

Arguably our most popular guest, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, the Yarn Harlot, made her first appearance on Show #11 in 2007 with a unique storage solution.

One of our favorite moments happened during Show #129 at the live broadcast for the Tent Sale in 2009 – Alpacas in Suburbans!

When Stacy Charles made his first appearance he was worried he wouldn’t have enough to talk about to fill the show, and Jared Flood‘s first interview may have happened as he dashed between classes.

Some of our more frequent guests have included Melissa Morgan Oakes, Carol Sulcoski, Betsy Perry, and Andra Asars. Hi Andra!

We had some wonderful feedback through the Survey. One of the questions we asked, “If you were going to be on the show for the day who would you interview?”, yielded some surprising answers.

You’d like us to talk to everyone from Betty White and Julia Roberts to Martha Stewart. There were also quite a few requests for Elizabeth Zimmerman. While an interview with her is no longer a possibility, we could certainly talk with her daughter, Meg Swanson.

Guest: Kathy and Kristin talk about The Finer Edge: Crocheted Trims, Motifs & Borders, Kristin’s newest book.

The book began as a seasons worth of project ideas for Knitting Daily TV and there was so much to work with that it made sense to turn it into a great reference book for edgings and borders.

The book is divided into sections for edgings worked from the top down, the bottom up and side-to-side. There is also a pattern section featuring garments and accessories where the fabric is actually constructed from edgings!

Kathy loves the Luxor Blanket and the Palmira Shawl crochet in our own 2/14 Alpaca Silk.

Westknits 4: Made for Movement by Stephen West. Once again Stephen is featuring his signature architectural shaping and stitch detail to create 10 gorgeous designs.

Kathy really likes the Barndom Shawl, featured on the cover, the Itaca shawl as well as the Shrowl – which is a free pattern

Classic Elite Yarns has paired up with Stephanie, the owner of Unwind in L.A., to create 2 collections with 5 patterns each. Both collections are modern and fresh, and still very recognizable as Classic Elite designs.

Kathy loves the shawl knit on the bias in 3 colors of Chalet, and the beautiful scoop neck sweater that would be a perfect wardrobe staple.
