Knitalong with Pixie: We finish up the charity knitalong.
Pine Tree Pattern
Now that the squares are done, Pixie stitched together the top row squares and then single crocheted along the bottom edges of these stitched together squares. This evened out the squares. She did the same to the tops and bottoms of the other rows to even them all out, then seamed them together.

Guest: Kay Gardiner & Ann Shayne, the authors of the popular blog http://www.masondixonknitting.com/ and book, Mason Dixon Knitting, and the follow-up Mason Dixon Knitting Outside the Lines. Ann and Kay talk about their book and how what it was like to finally meet in person after sharing online.

Knitalong with Pixie: Charity Knitting – every October we do a Knit for the Cure event. We knit items for cancer patients – hats and scarves. This year, we are knitting squares that will be assembled into a blanket, so we decided to do this on the show as well. If you’re in the area, you can bring in the squares. For those of you in other areas, it would be great to work on it with your knitting group, and donate your blankets locally. If you don’t have a knitting group, you can send us your squares and we’ll incorporate it into a blanket.
You Will Need:
2 balls Valley Superwash (or another worsted superwash)
Finished size when blocked is 12” x 12”
There are four different patterns in a tree motif.
