Have you had a chance to make it to our Tent Sale? If you haven’t, you do not want to miss out this year! It is taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 17th and 18th at our store in Northampton, MA. In addition to our great Anniversary Sale yarns, we’ll have amazing deals under the tent that you can only get at the store this weekend.

WEBS Tent Sale May 17-18, 2014

All weekend, all of our in-stock spinning wheels, tools, and fiber are 20% off. This is the perfect weekend to pick up that spinning wheel you’ve been dreaming about. It’s not often that we have sales on spinning wheels, so take advantage of it while you can.

Shop under the tent at WEBS Tent Sale

On Saturday, we have a real treat. Our Annual Fleece Market takes place in our parking lot. Each year, local vendors set up and you can shop all of their great products. In addition, this year, we will have food vendors. We’re pretty excited about this, and for you it means not giving up your coveted parking spot to snag some snacks, or lunch. (You can see the list of fleece and food vendors on our website.)

WEBS Fleece Market

Since our parking lot can get a little crazy on Saturday, you’ll want to look out for helpful employees in bright yellow vests. They can help direct you to where you need to go. It’s a pretty crowded day, and it’s also a fun day loaded with fellow fiber fans, so chat with your neighbors in line, and remember to be kind and courteous to each other. We’re here to celebrate, not just another Tent Sale, but our 40th Anniversary!

Fun at WEBS Tent Sale

Our Tent Sale and Fleece Market (Saturday only) takes place rain or shine, so we’re keeping our fingers (and everything else, including our stitches!) crossed. We hope to see you here!

Knits That Breathe by Julie Turjoman

The book includes the Splash Cardigan knit in our own Valley Yarns Southwick which happens to be on sale through the end of May! Julie points out that with the alternative fibers featured in the book your knit fabric will behave much differently than it would with wool so swatching will be important!

Update:

Thanks to everyone who made it out to Boston or who sent in their donations to the Boston Strong Hat Project event! Laura sent us the following update:

As the marathon comes closer, I wanted to say Thank you again for your support of the Boston Strong Hat Project.
At the Knit in at the Old South Church on Boylston Street in Boston this past Saturday, we had an amazing day.

Four Marathon survivors also came and stayed for the whole knit in, telling people how much the hats have meant to them.
One woman drove to Boston from Albany, New York to drop off a Boston Strong Scarf based on the Boston Strong Pattern.

The Old South Church has received over 5,000 scarves to distribute to the athletes.
Their project has gone viral and they are receiving scarves from far and wide.

Annual Tent Sale and Fleece Market

Thursday, May 16th, 2013

We’re in for a crazy weekend here at WEBS! Our annual Tent Sale is this Saturday and Sunday, May 18th and 19th, and our Fleece Market takes place Saturday in the parking lot. If you’re within driving distance, you don’t wan to miss it (and if you’re not, make travel plans for next year)!

The craziness is totally worth it. We set up a huge tent in our parking lot and Steve fills it with yarn at incredible prices. Plus, there are special discounts on yarn, accessories, and patterns in the store in addition to the Anniversary Sale yarns. Need another reason? All in-stock spinning wheels, fiber, and accessories are 20% off in the store all weekend!

Need yet another reason? On Saturday, we hold our Fleece Market in the parking lot. Local vendors come sell fiber, yarn, and more. Great fiber-y goodies from Sojourner Design, Kama Suutra Fiber Arts, and many other great vendors will tempt you. What’s this “more”? Well, we have Stitched by JessaLu and her amazing project bags (I always need new project bags!), Kristin Nicholas will be here with lamb, and that barely scratches the surface. Check out the list of vendors here.

So, will you be coming this weekend? Have you been before? What’s your favorite part?
