I've made one Dr. Who scarf for a friend and will be doing another this fall. So far, the best matches for pretty well all the colours have come from Briggs & Little (Nova Scotia, Canada).

I knit my first Dr. Who scarf in 1982 and did 2 more in 1987 -- using the sanctioned colors from the BBC. Just like the original scarf in the series, this piece of knitting serves many purposes...it draws people together, either out of curiosity or fascination. I hope you will knit another. I am knitting another one for the 50 year anniversary of Dr.Who in 2013.

The first time I went to Webs was to get yarn for my very own Doctor Who scarf! I chose the colors that I thought looked best, picking and choosing from the worsted weight Valley Yarns. I found good matches for all the colors, with the exception of the red! Good to know that if I ever want to knit another twelve-foot-long scarf (heaven forbid!), there are new colors for me to use.
