The Finer Edge Giveaway

Β We’re pairing up with one of our favorite designers, Kristin Omdahl, to give away a signed copy of her newest book, The Finer Edge!

We’ll also be giving away a bottle of her Wrapture scent from Eucalan, a cone of our 2/14 Alpaca Silk (to make the Palmira Shawl featured in the book), a Knitter’s Pride Dreamz Crochet hook: US size E/4/3.50mm, and a $25 Gift Certificate to WEBS.

Just leave a comment here and on Kristin’s Blog letting us know why you’d like a copy of the book. All comments must be posted by 11:59PM Β EST on Thursday, February 7th to be entered to win. We’ll announce the winner on the blog on Saturday Feb 9th.

    I’m glad to see a new book about edgings. I have a knitting machine, and edgings are always an issue with large pieces of stockinette stitch.

    I love Kristin’s work, and have one of her other books. Plus I’m an avid crocheter and knitter, and I adore the fact that she works in both areas. Crocheted edging on knit fabric is particularly lovely.

    I first learned about crocheted edgings from my husband’s grandmother who made them for all of her “pillow slips” that she embroidered. She lived to be 97 years old and made everything by hand or with her treadle sewing machine. The edgings on the cover of this book remind me very much of her work. I can’t wait to get it and try some of these out for myself. πŸ™‚
