Valley Yarns Show & Tell: 439 Fleur de Sel Cardigan

Hi Everyone,

This week’s show and tell has us taking a look at 439 Fleur de Sel Cardigan. Worked side-to-side this easy crocheted lace cardigan has wide overlapping front panels with a flattering square neckline. The lace pattern is just one row so its easy to memorize, and the mostly double crochet sleeves keep the project moving quickly.

Worked in Valley Yarns Northfield, this cardigan is warm, even with the airy lace pattern.

We tried on the 36.”

“Super cute and pretty sweater, but I think I’d make the neckline a little smaller to keep it on my shoulders better.”

Dena
Height: 5’4¾”
Bust: 35½”
Waist: 29½”
Hips: 40″

“I’m always looking for more crocheted sweaters that are attractive. And this is definitely getting added to my queue. The open square neckline is awesome. And you can adjust the buttons to get more of a custom fit where it matters.”

Height: 5’4″
Bust: 39½

“I didn’t think I would like the way this looked on me when we were shooting it for the catalog, but it doesn’t look too bad. I don’t know if the style of the closure really suits my shape, but the Nortfield felt fantastic.”

Tina
Height: 5’2″
Bust: 40″
Waist: 33½”
Hips: 43″

“It’s cute in theory, but I’m not a fan of this sweater.”

Liz
Height: 5’7 ½”
Bust: 36¾”
Waist: 34¾”
Hips: 38½”

“I’d definitely need a larger size so that the cardigan closes properly. I really like the stitch of this sweater and the square neckline, which would showcase a necklace beautifully. Again, I would change the sleeve length so that the sleeves didn’t fall at my widest point.”

Next week we have our final Show and Tell of the year!
