Valley Yarns Show & Tell: Windowpane Top-Down Pullover
This week, we’re featuring #356 Window Top-Down Pullover. It is knit in Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK, which means it is super comfortable and easy to care for. The lace on the front is also featured on the sleeves.
We tried on the 34″ pullover.
First up, we have Kirsten:
Height: 5’3″
Bust: 37″
Waist: 30″
Hips: 42″
Kirsten said: “Love the shape and and the lace, but I would make the sleeves maybe 1 lace repeat longer”
Grace -
Height: 5’0″
Bust: 38″
Waist: 30″
Hips: 38″
Grace said: “The sleeves were the perfect length but, if I were to knit it, I would knit the next size up. I probably wouldn’t pick this sweater for me, since the detailing in the front isn’t very flattering on me.”
Dena -
Height: 5’4¾”
Bust: 35½”
Waist: 29½”
Hips: 40″
Dena said: “Nice length and fit. But I would want the sleeves to be either longer or shorter. ”
Mary -
Height: 5’4″
Bust: 41½”
Waist: 34½”
Hips: 44½”
Mary said: “This sweater just doesn’t fit! It’s too tight and way too short. I probably wouldn’t knit this one because I prefer deeper necklines.”
Tina -
Height: 5’2″
Bust: 40″
Waist: 33½”
Hips: 43″
Tina said: “I like this sweater and think it would be fun to switch out the pattern with other lace patterns. I’d knit the next size larger so that the Superwash DK had more room to drape nicely – it felt a bit snug across the chest and hips. ”
Erin -
Height: 5’8″
Bust: 35″
Waist: 27″
Hips: 36½”
Erin said: “I love top-down sweaters. One of the top-town bonuses: I’d easily be able to add two or three inches of length in the sleeves, and maybe an inch or two at the waist. ”
Next week, we have our final Show & Tell for the spring pattern collection.
Happy Knitting!
Mary
