Winner, Winner and a Triple!
Do any of you remember the game show Joker’s Wild? I LOVED that show when I was little.
So, we have ourselves some winners. Yes, more than one, but not everyone. No doubt I have a healthy stash, but it’s not THAT healthy!
So, the rules of the game stated that the first person to guess the yarn that I stared at all weekend at Stitches would win a skein or two of that yarn from my personal stash. I added the caveat that WEBS staffers at the show couldn’t guess (unfair) and MMO because I know she (a) knows the yarn and (b) has her bloglines wired to her brain and would have answered first. What I forgot about was the other Melissa. Equally smart about yarn, former staffer/Stitches attendee and just as quick as MMO.
So, with that said, the yarn was Brooks Farms! You guys know your yarns even at 10 paces and in a picture! I’m going to award two prizes to be fair – Melissa because she was first and Kristi because she was second and I should have had more fine print in the contest rules, which would have made her first 🙂
In the spirit of my favorite game show, let’s go for the triple. Of those of you who guessed Brooks Farm correctly, I have tossed your names in a box and had Steve pull a third winner – Mary, commenter #13, you are a winner too!
If the three of you would email me your addresses at kathy.elkins AT yarn DOT com, I’ll get your prize packages out to you!
Since I don’t have any pictures to include and since I’ve been sitting on this picture for the past couple of weeks, I figured now would be a good time to insert it. Here’s Jonathan having breakfast with his peeps on an early Sunday morning:
Steve & Jackson were off at hockey and the two of us were just hanging out. I love this picture.
Have a great day everyone!

Although I have no knowledge of yarn I love seeing pictures of my best friends, J&J. The picture of Jonathan with his friends absolutely adorable!

Kathy,
I love this picture – you get by with a little help from your friends!
I have a daughter who does the exact same thing. She has a stuffed entourage with her most of the time. My guess it’s because I won’t give in to a real animal yet.

You also wisely chose to post that while I was busy moving Rue, I think, so I was way late in the game.
And I LOVE that picture! That’s totally a mom thing. I have “back of the kids walking into a hot air balloon” that no one gets but me or mothers.

Yay for your generosity – thank you! 🙂
I love the pic – my kids’ entourage could not fit on the back of a chair, they’d take up the whole table!
